Why include the Theater Arts tent at the Belle Isle Art Fair? Perhaps because there are so many visual artists (as well as many others) that work on theater? Or maybe we just love a good play.
This year we have invited some of Detroit's favorite theater groups to come out and join us. You can expect to see short scenes from a variety of shows. It's also a opportunity to meet and hear about the various groups and to purchase their tickets.
Many of the theater groups will show scenes from their upcoming season. We also have a few surprise group coming to perform short segments. This schedule will be updated-

Take a time-travel adventure into the 16th century at the annual Michigan Renaissance Festival! Join our Queen Elizabeth in a jubilee! Inside our turreted gates, visitors enjoy the sights and sounds of a 17-acre village, complete with building reproductions of Renaissance shops, taverns and a magnificent castle. Continuous entertainment takes place on the streets and on 17 themed stages; featuring full-contact armored jousting, comedy and theater shows, music, games, and people-powered rides.
